The double bed has a comfortable but firm mattress. It is made up with organic sheets and pillowcases. The duvet is king size and there are 2 feather pillows and 2 hollow fibre pillows. Organic bath, hand and face towels are provided for each guest.

As the walls of Straw Bale Cabin are half a metre thick, each window has deep reveals with wide oak sills. The rounded corners help the daylight flood in. An old barn door has been given a new lease of life decorating the top of each opening

The wind up torch and solar/wind up radio are really useful. A little winding goes a long way and no searching for batteries!

The kettle, slow cooker and DVD player can all run on the energy generated by the micro wind turbine and the solar photovoltaic panel.

This is one of the bicycles that are provided for guests to use. A removable basket attaches to the front for your shopping or picnic.

In the dresser there are "green" books and magazines and a small selection of poetry, romance and thrillers. There is lots of information about the local area, maps and timetables and a selection of DVDs.
